The drama surrounding Sally’s baby’s paternity is starting to heat up on The Young and The Restless. She wants Nick Newman to be the father with every fiber of her being. However, there is a whopping chance that Sally would be wrong. Because when do things go exactly as we hope them to in life? More so in soaps! Thus, if we had to bet, we would be placing our chips on Adam and not Nick. But have you considered the possibility that there could be a third secret contender for the baby daddy’s position?
Imagine the shock Nick and Adam will get when they realize that the baby in Sally’s tummy is actually their half-sibling! Yup! Ever fancied the idea that Victor could be Sally’s baby daddy on The Young and The Restless? If Victor had been secretly hooking up with Sally, it would explain why he balks at the thought of his sons having a relationship with her. Crazy right!? Actress Courtney Hope (Sally) entertained the bizarre idea in a recent chat with Soaps She Knows.
The Young and The Restless star mused that a Sally-Victor hookup is a “running joke” in her family. She gushed that all her uncles and aunts watch the soap, but she never tells them what’s coming next. So they keep making guesses like the rest of the viewers. Courtney shared that recently one of her uncles couldn’t resist the curiosity and asked her who the real father is. Adam, Nick, or Victor? Sally’s portrayer laughed at the eccentricity of the thought and asked her uncle to not start a rumor about Sally-Victor online.
As shockingly unpredictable as it would be, we have our reservations that The Young and The Restless would go that way. So as of now, Nick and Adam are the only Newman in the running for the spot! Courtney pointed that she understands exactly why Sally wants Nick to be the father and not Adam. Sally felt very deeply for Adam, but when he walked out on her, he hurt her just as deeply. So when she looks at Nick, she sees the comfort of stability. And that’s something she really craves.
Courtney shared that Sally was abandoned by her parents on The Young and The Restless, and that deeply scarred her. Even though she grew up with a loving and caring grandma, it didn’t take away the hurt of being abandoned. Thus, it’s understandable that she wants her baby to have the stability and security her parents couldn’t give her. That is something Nick is more capable of providing the baby than Adam. But will Sally get what she wants? Or will she have to tackle more drama when she finds out Adam is the father? Stay tuned to The Young and The Restless on CBS to find out what lies ahead for Sally Spectra.
