General Hospital viewers who have been keeping up with the soap know that things have started heating up between Carly and Nina. Naturally, this has divided the fans and everyone who enjoys the soaps. Until now, these women had been fighting on the outlines. But now, things have taken the forefront.
In a recent General Hospital episode, Carly slapped Nina right across the face. And this has left fans shocked and on the edge of their seats. These women are fighting over Sonny. While Carly says that she doesn’t want to see him, spoilers speculate that she just needs some time.
On the other hand is Nina, who has now confessed that she does not mind if Sonny comes into her arms. In fact, she wouldn’t let him go if he came in this time. So, this is only the fuel to the war that is brewing between the two women. Keeping in mind how fans have been talking about it on social media, we know that fans are enjoying this all. However, they aren’t the only ones enjoying it.
Recently, our favorite, Maurice Benard, who plays the character of Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital, took onto Twitter to applaud these women. He commended them on how well they are taking on the storyline. Maurice took onto Twitter to say that he doesn’t usually enjoy watching girls fight but applauding his co-stars, Laura Wright and Cynthia Watros. He says that he is very much into it. Maurice’s tweet attracted many more conversations, and the actor took it upon himself to clear everything out. He even answered and spoke to some fans on the Twitter thread. One of the fans pointed out how they are now getting tired of everyone accusing Nina of keeping Sonny’s identity from everyone and how Sonny wasn’t the one who wanted to know it. Maurice then told the fan that he agreed that the storyline wasn’t perfect. He told the fact that he agrees that Sonny should have wanted to look for his family more. With that said, he also says that they needed this for the storyline they have now.
Another fan asked Maurice to be very careful. They said that Sonny better be careful because Nina walked on the edge of insanity. And it wouldn’t be long before Nina starts obsessing and stalking him. To this, the legendary actor had to say that he thinks all the characters are usually on the edge of insanity.
Keeping in mind how Maurice is talking about this whole storyline, it seems about right that Nina and Carly are in for a longer fight. This isn’t near the end, and it will be interesting to see what General Hospital does with it. Fans also joined in applauding Laura and Cynthia‘s acting on the soap and revealed how they are enjoying this all. It is always good when actors personally take the time to speak to the fans and engage.
