Audience love light hearted comedy-drama, involving lots of love gossip, and love triangles. And the best one of this kind from recent times is Younger. With Younger Season 7 incoming, fans of the show are very much excited to have the publishing company drama back. TV Land renewed the show for its seventh season, just when the sixth season of the show wrapped up in July 2019.
Created by Darren Star, Younger is a light comedy-drama series of TV Land network. The show is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran. Younger debuted in 2015 as a single-camera series, followed by the next five seasons in the following years. It also received quite positive reviews from the critics and the audience.
In July 2019, when the show got renewed for its seventh season, Keith Cox, president of development and production for Paramount Network and TV Land, shared the excitement on renewal. As she stated, “we (channel) love this talented and fabulous cast and can’t wait to see what Darren Star have in store for Season 7.”
Will Liza Accept Charles’ Proposal?
The sixth season of Younger left the audience hanging in the middle, about Liza’s (Sutton Foster) feeling. It looks like she is in love with Charles (Peter Hermann), but at the same time, the bond between Liza and Josh (Nico Tortorella) sparks from time to time. At the end of Season 6, Charles proposed to Liza at Diana (Miriam Shor) and Enzo’s (Chris Tardio) wedding. However, she got interrupted by Kelsey (Hilary Duff) to accept Charles’ job offer. Moreover, the celebration of the marriage didn’t give Liza any chance to tell her answer to Charles.
Meanwhile, the viewers saw a regaining hope for Josh and Liza, when Liza said that she doesn’t want Josh to design her hourglass tattoo for anyone else. She finds it way too personal as she stated, “It’s ours.”
Writers Discussing Younger Season 7
Its been a long time since Liza struggling for her feelings between Charles and Josh. In the same context, writer Don Ross spoke to TV Line. Although viewers think that Liza is diverted more towards Charles, things aren’t ended between Liza and Josh yet. As he discussed, “She cannot let go of Josh. Liza is just a human being who had something extraordinary with Josh. She got to know him in the first episode. He was the first person she met as her new self, and it was kind of like imprinting… They bonded, and Liza can’t let it go. There was something about that hourglass tattoo that she didn’t want to be public property.”
Though Ross also made clear that Liza loves Charles, but she just doesn’t want that memento from the relationship with Josh to be spread all over town. Also, he understood where Liza was coming from, and that made it easy to write down that scene for him.
Younger Season 7: Release Date
The show has not received the official release date for the seventh season yet. The previous season of Younger premiered in September 2019. Therefore, the upcoming seventh season will arrive at the same time, around the third quarter of 2020. For more updates on Younger Season 7, stay tuned.
