The fourth season of Veronica Mars ended on a very emotional note. However, the story left quite much a room for the next season, Veronica Mars Season 5 to arrive. The fans were also damn sure that the show will return for another run, featuring Kristen Bell as the beloved titular character. However, some recent news about the fifth season came in, which has turned down the expectations of the fans.
The first season of the series came in September 2004 as teen mystery detective series. Veronica Mars is set in the imaginary town of Neptune, California, and follows a high school detective girl, Veronica Mars. The first two installments of Veronica Mars aired on UPN, the third one on rebranded CW, and the recent fourth one on Hulu along with the previous three seasons.

The beloved series, a collaboration of Warner Bros. and The CW, revived by Hulu for an eight-episode fourth season. However, the streaming service recently confirmed that there are no plans for Veronica Mars Season 5 to happen, for now. Maybe the topic for the resurrection of the Veronica Mars Season 5 comes up in the future. However, there is not much possibility of our teen detective, Veronica Mars, to return anytime soon.
Rob Thomas on Veronica Mars Season 5
It seems like the show is officially off from the network’s side. However, the creator of the show, Rob Thomas do not want to send off the likelihoods away. In an interview, Thomas made clear that he is not ruling out the possibility for more. The fans of the soft-detective drama are still longing for the renewal of the show for the fifth season.
Season 4’s Ending Led Down Some Fans
The fourth season of Veronica Mars ended on very drastic terms. And in a way, it really hurt a large section of the fan community of Veronica Mars. By the end of Season 4, Veronica (Kristen Bell) and her love interest Logan (Jason Dohring), got married. However, Logan gets killed in the car-bomb blast just after their marriage.
Thomas lately defended his decision to kill off Dohring’s character when a fan confronted him in an interview. As the fan stated, he killed off Logan because he could not figure out what to do with him if the show were to continue. To that, Thomas cleared out that there are not many shows about kickass detectives and their boyfriend. It was tough getting Logan into the story this season. There’s a reason why shows end when the couple finally gets together. It’s not going to be Veronica and Logan solving mysteries, so what is Logan doing in the show?”
