The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 2: All Whisperers, Introducing Gamma

The audience has been waiting for The Walking Dead Season 10, since the cliffhanging end of the previous season. Now that it is here, the fans are craving to know more about what will happen in the upcoming episodes.

The premiere episode for the tenth season of The Walking Dead released on October 6, 2019. And it brought back the Whisperers and the never-ending Walking Dead drama. Now, The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 2 is due soon, and that is all people are talking about.

Created by Robert Kirkman as a comic book series and adapted for television by Frank Darabont, the show grew more in popularity since its debut. The Walking Dead features large ensemble characters as survivors of a zombie apocalypse. They are trying to stay alive under near-constant threat of attacks from the mindless deadly zombies, known as “walkers.”

AMC released the preview for the upcoming episode of Season 10. It also promised that the second episode would focus mostly on Whisperers. Also, it will introduce another Whisperer in the gang, Gamma (Thora Birch). Moreover, the episode will develop tension in the Whisperer Camp, with the entry of Gamma. Beta (Ryan Hurst) tells Alpha (Samantha Morton) that they are far from the enemy, and their fear will subside.

The second episode will entirely focus on the entry of Gamma in the Whisperer Camp. Also, her presence will create suspicion for Beta. However, Alpha notifies him cryptically that there is clarity amid the chaos. Also, with Gamma in the team, the question arises that will she follow the well-worn path this season, or will she develop differences among Alpha and Beta?

Show-runner Angela Kang also discussed Gamma in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. According to her, Gamma is a badass and, despite being new, she will rise among the ranks as a loyal, dedicated follower of the Whisperers in season 10. Also, this new storyline will bring new conflicts that will highlight the fascinating human landscape.

However, the initial numbers brought in some bad news as well. It seems like AMC is having a hard time with the viewership status. According to Deadline, the show suffered a vast viewer loss compared to last year’s numbers. As per reports, the premiere episode of Season 10 claimed just four million viewers. This number is three percent less than the previous season’s lowest. This sets the new series low for the long-running horror series, marking the lowest rating the show has ever gotten up to this point.

The second episode of The Walking Dead Season 10 will air on Sunday, October 13 on AMC. And on the next day, it will premiere on FOX in the UK.
