The American Science Fictional show, The Expanse, just premiered with season 4, and now it’s time for The Expanse Season 5. The show, which initially belonged to Syfy, was canceled by the company after three seasons. Later on, after fans petitions, Amazon Prime picked up the show from season 4 and beyond. What To Expect In The Expanse Season 5?
The story for Expanse season 4 is on a basis influenced by the 2014 novel Cibola Burn. The Expanse Season 5 will logically just be a followup of this year’s sequel Nemesis Games. If the book is taken into account, Nemesis Games is one of the most acclaimed books by James S.A. Corey. The story of the book features increased disruption in the Solar system. The power that once Earth and Mars had is now breaking down. More and more people are departing for the Ring gates.
Along with this, another area that The Expanse Season 5 will explore is the main cast’s personal lives. Naomi has had a dark past that will come and haunt her. With that, Alex goes on to see his wife on the planet Mars. And Amos will go back to Earth.

The Expanse Season 5: The Cast
The main cast of the show is, of course, returning. The present Rocinante captain Jim Holden is coming back. The character is portrayed by Steven Strait. Cas Anvar is also coming back as the ship’s pilot Alex Kamal. Wes Chatham and Dominique Tripper will also return as the crew members. There will be some new faces we might get to see in the fifth installment. Thomas Jane, best known for Punisher, will come on the show as a detective Joe Miller. Burn Gorman might make a comeback too. Nancy, played by Lily Gao, will return in season 5. She is the new secretary-general of the UN.
More Of Marco And Filip In The Expanse Season 5
According to a report from Deadline, we are getting more regulars in The Expanse Season 5. So, this season you’ll get to see more of Marco played by Keon Alexander on the show. Marco has been promoted to the series regular in the upcoming fifth installment. This is something that really will be right this time for this as he has a history with Naomi Nagata.
Along with Marco, another series regular will be Filip, son for Marco, and Naomi. We will get to see more of him in The Expanse Season 5. Jasai Chase Owens plays the role and will come back.
Melba To Be A Series Regular Too
Other news reveals that Melba, also known as Clarissa Mao, will be the series regulars in the show. The character is portrayed by Nadine Nicole. She has been a significant part of season 3. She also made a small appearance at the beginning of season 4. In season 5, we surely will get to see more of her presence.
The sci-fi drama will soon hit our screens. Given that the show was renewed back in July 2019, and the production started back in October 2019, the show will soon get back on the floors with The Expanse Season 5.
