Created by Sarah Watson, The Bold Type is a comedy-drama series of Freeform. The show is inspired by the life and career of former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, Joanna Coles. She even serves as the executive producer of the show. All the seasons of The Bold Type received a darn positive response from the critics and the audience. Not just this, the show serves as the most popular outing of Freeform.
The Bold Type focuses on the lives of three millennial women, Jane Sloan, Kat Edison, and Sutton Brady. All three works for a fictional global publication named Scarlet. The Bold Type came in June 2017, followed by its two runs in June 2018 and April 2019. Also, the show got various award nominations, including Teen Choice Awards and more.
The Bold Type Season 4: Trailer Out
Just recently, the trailer for the upcoming fourth run of The Bold Type arrived. And it looks like things are not exactly in the place where they are supposed to be. Scarlett Magazine is now without its Editor-In-Chief Jacqueline. However, that does not come between her and Jane’s relationship. Also, Jane and Ryan’s relationship is falling apart, as he kissed some other girl during his book tour.
Meanwhile, Sutton has finally found herself and is up to be the fashion influencer. And Kate also chooses herself by the end of the second season and has invited Adena into her apartment.
The Bold Type Season 4: Cast Details
Some new faces are set to come up in the fourth season of The Bold Type. Raven-Symone is going to join the upcoming season as Alice, a beauty influencer. And, Chord Overstreet (Glee) will guest star in the forthcoming run as Jane’s brother, Evan. Along with them, the main cast of The Bold Type is set to return. The list includes Katie Stevens as Jane Sloan. Aisha Dee as Kat Edison. Meghann Fahy as Sutton Brady. Nikohl Boosheri as Adena El-Amin. Sam Page as Richard Hunter. Dan Jeannotte as Ryan Decker and Melora Hardin as Jacqueline Carlyle.
Also, Amanda Lasher has stepped down from her responsibilities after the finale of the third season. And now, writer Wendy Straker Hauser has taken the position to lead on the series.
The Bold Type Season 4: Plot Details
Despite Jacqueline leaving the women’s magazine, she promised Jane in the clip that she’ll continue to fight for the women. And Jane may have forgiven Ryan for kissing another girl, but the after-effects of the situation will affect the relationship further. The trailer also featured a new-hot guy helping Jane; maybe he’ll make her get over that cheated feeling.
Also, the new show-runner, Wendy Straker Hauser, made a statement to TV Insider during an interview. As per her, the girls and Jacqueline will face a new challenge that they did not anticipate.
