Keeping all the stereotypes aside, Hulu’s groundbreaking series Shrill is up for its next season. Shrill Season 2 will be the next installment of the series, starring SNL’s Aidy Bryant. The show came in lime-light as it pulled up one of the most sincere topics amongst recent middle-aged women. The fans, especially the ones who strongly related to the show, are very excited about the arrival of the second season.
Shrill has been adapted from Lindy West’s 2016 essay collection Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman. The show focuses on Annie (Aidy Bryant), a self-proclaimed fat woman and a budding journalist who is on a mission to change her life, but not her body. Although she feels very confident about her body, it was other people who made her feel bad. She does not receive respect and appreciation from her co-workers, hookups, and even strangers.
The network ordered its second season back in April, just after its debut in March. The show has been praised for its body-positive subject and dealing with online trolls. The audience, as well as the critics, appreciated the first season.

However, he images are beautiful and colorful, featuring Annie along with Lolly Adefope as her best friend and roommate Fran, Luka Jones, as her boyfriend, Ryan.

The first season saw Annie unapologetically breaking her old habits and find her voice. Also, the official synopsis for the second season of Shrill has been out. According to that, Annie will be in a pretty good state after dealing with her hurdles that have been pulling her back in the first season. The list includes her mom, her boss, and her troll. Although she has her boyfriend Ryan with her, the good in her life will not last for long, and maybe Ryan too. That is because Annie is way more career-focused and future-oriented than Ryan.
This season will feature a less dormant Annie that she once was. However, it will not be a pie for her to achieve what she always imagined to have. Annie will realize that leaving the job was not a good move for her. Meanwhile, things are not happening in Annie’s mother’s life, as well. The old problems are still dwindling in her life, and she needs to deal with more of that. Adding to this, Fran is dealing with a breakup and figuring out what she really wants out of her life too.
