The next installment of Grown-ish is all set to return on Freeform. Grown-ish Season 3 will take the fans onto a new journey to the actual world with Zoey and her girl gang. Fans of the sitcom are very much excited for the upcoming run.
Grown-ish majorly focuses on students of the school and explores essential topics, including college athletics, cultural appropriation, toxic masculinity, anxiety, burnout, and more. It is a single-camera comedy and centers on the Johnsons’ (from Black-ish) elder daughter Zoey, played by Yara Shahidi. The series features her journey in college and some wild and unexpected adventures.
The series debuted in May 2018, on Freeform, followed by its second season in January 2019. Grown-ish received critical acclamation from the audience and the critics both. The show has also gained many viewers since its debut run, which resulted in the renewal of the show for its third installment.
Trevor Jackson Discussing Grown-ish Season 3
At some talks on Good Morning America recently, actor Trevor Jackson discussed the upcoming season of Grown-ish. On asking about the new pregnancy situation up in the third season, he stated that he could, or could not be the baby daddy. Along with this, he set loads of praise words for the show.“I’m excited. The cast is so talented; the writers are so amazing. I feel like we always hit the nail on the head on topics that are today that are relevant. Especially for young kids who don’t see themselves on TV. That’s why I love being a part of this show; it’s a great one,” he added.
Prankster Trevor On Sets
While talking about the show, Trevor also revealed that he is the biggest prankster of the show. He is the guy who, when not being on camera, tries to make the other actors laugh. Also, Trevor shared a little incident, which he played on Chloe and Halle. He shared as, “We’re there all day, somebody’s got to laugh… Chloe and Halle are vegans, and I remember one time, I tricked them. I told them that they had eaten meat, but it wasn’t, it was a vegan thing. I was like, ‘Oh, you guys got the wrong one’. That’s the type of pranks I play.”
Grown-ish Season 3: Plot Details
The upcoming season of Grown-ish will feature Zoey and the girls moving into an off-campus house with Vivek (Jordan Buhat). They all are set to take on the school year. Also, now, they will have a taste of real-life situations, including student loans, work/ life balance, and, of course, messy breakups.
Meanwhile, they all need to clear out a significant space, as a tiny baby is set to arrive. That is because one of the girls is pregnant, although the trailer doesn’t reveal who. Meanwhile, Zoey is stuck like a sandwich patty between Luca and Aaron. Therefore the upcoming season will feature a hell lot of drama than expected.
