What Does Grand Tour Season 5 Have In-Store?
The Grand Tour season 4 witnessed a number of changes when it comes to the format show followed. It shifted from the Top-gear style live audience format to more of the adventurous and exploration format. Grand Tour Season 5 will follow the same pattern. The gang was exploring a series of Asian locations in the fourth season. These locations included Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. For this time, it isn’t evident on what locations will the team explore. Andy Wilman has recently shared a captionless picture of a map. It does not say in what regards that picture might be. Here is the post. You tell us what do you think it could be?
Along with the change of format, there was something else that the show witnessed. A controversy took on the show. It sometimes looks like controversies follow Hammond, May, and Clarkson everywhere they go. The trio was accused of being homophobic. While addressing the allegations of being homophobic Hammond said that he felt it was all very annoying. He said that he doesn’t think that the show is anywhere even close to being homophobic.
After this whole controversy, they had to remove the parts of the show that offended the viewers. In the interview, Hammond said that people are always looking for something to criticize. Before it was about sexism. There were a lot of comments on cars and women. Clarifying that, he said that they hadn’t said anything like that ever. He added that he has a wife and daughters at home who would beat the shit out of him if he did anything like that. Hammond added that he felt that many times people assume things and start criticizing.
Will This Be The Last Season?
No, This will not be the last time we will get to watch The Grand Tour. Talking about that, Clarkson said that Amazon signed them for three seasons. Everyone kept telling them that they would at least do four to which they would reply that they have been only asked to do three. He revealed that when they talked to Amazon about having more of the show, they said that they would be delighted to.
The show is now renewed for two more seasons. Andy Wilman, The Grand Tour’s producer, shared the news on his Instagram. Here it is for you.
