*Plot Details Ahead for Season 1 & 2*
The story of the series revolves around Jen Harding (Applegate), whose life turns upside down upon the death of her husband. She ends up joining a therapy group to cope up with the tragedy and meets Judy (Cardellini). The two of them soon become friends. However, Judy hides the fact that she was involved in the death of Jen’s husband. This causes a disturbing plot twist, and the story takes dark turns towards the end.
The finale of the debut season features Jen holding a gun beside Judy’s ex-fiancé, Steve’s dead body. However, a large number of fans believe that she might not be the actual killer. Showrunner Liz Feldman confirms the same by saying that she’s doubtful of Jen being the murderer. Since we did not see her firing the gun, it’s not fair to blame the character for the murder. Well, we would have to wait for Dead To Me Season 2 to explain the cliffhanger.
On the other hand, the brand-new season will also dig deeper into Judy’s past. Dead To Me Season 2 may explore the abusive relationship she had with Steve.
