The show is in the run for the seventh season and is bagging appreciation from the fans. Twelve episodes of the series are out already, and the thirteenth episode is just around the corner. Here are all the details about it.
What Has Happened So Far?
The previous episode of “The Curse Of Oak Island,” that is, episode 12 was a pretty interesting one. It seems like the team is going by the motto that hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies. Even after Hurricane Dorian destroyed all the efforts of the team by draining the swap, the team did not lose hope and kept trying.
Episode 12, which was titled “Fortified,” was fascinating for the viewers. This excitement wasn’t because the team found the treasure but because they had found a shred of evidence on the cursed island that hinted them about the French Activity on the land. Gary Drayton came back to the swamp, and Rick Lagina went on a trip to North Carolina to do some research. All this was very exciting as it was all about French History.
What Came Out Of The Research?
Viewers who have been keeping up with the show know that Duc d’Anville has constantly been stopping things on the show. The historical relevance of the name turns out to be very interesting. Back in 1746, the Duc d’Anville expedition was a French effort to revive the bonds with Arcadia. The city is although now a part of Nova Scotia. This expedition was deadly. A number of men died because of various diseases such as scurvy and typhus.
After reaching Nova Scotia, Duc d’Anville died due to a stroke and was buried in the Niva Scotia George Island. The name has been a point of interest in the show. It is also said that his family had some connections with Oak Island. Along with that, they were also linked to Money Pit’s construction.
