Atlanta Season 3, originally billed as 2019, FX has now revealed that season 3 will not be releasing this year, which means that Atlanta Season 3 will not return in due time for the 2019 Emmy Awards. Donald and Stephen Glover’s Faulkner-Esque series Atlanta has been a big hit for FX in some contemporary ways. It feels like some television shows drives online conversation up the blogosphere like Atlanta.
Atlanta Season 3: Spoilers
FX is a network that thrives on non-traditional attention, as run by CEO John Landgraf. The streamer likes its shows to drive conversation, generate think pieces, and win awards with applause. Atlanta has proven capable at all of those three factors. So, Atlanta only attracts less than a million viewers on the night it airs. But FX has confidence in its series. The streamer just inked Atlanta director and long-time Glover collaborator Hiro Murai to a significant overall deal. “Atlanta is phenomenal, achieving and exceeding what some television series have done,” said the original programming president of FX Nick Grad.
With Atlanta Season 3, Donald and his collaborators inflated the series to even greater heights, building on the humongous success of their award-winning first season. The makers are grateful to the producers and the extraordinary cast-crew for achieving this level of excellence. The makers are excited to share this news with the audience. FX is confident about its thriller series. At an FYC Emmy screening this summer, Atlanta Season 3 will be the most accessible season.
What Fans Have Seen So Far?
The second season ended with many of the main protagonist’s lives in chaos. Earn, and Van is planning to take time for their on-off relationship after a trip to an Oktoberfest. A childhood tradition of Van’s proved too much for Earning. Paper Boi was followed through the woods by a load of gun-toting teens. And Van failed to meet Drake on a girls night out. Will Paper Boi make it to the big time? Can Earn and Van patch things up? Fans will have to wait and watch.
The leading players are all sure to be back: Donald Glover, Zazie Beets, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lakeith Stanfield. There’s good news too. In a recent interview, Donald Glover said about Atlanta Season 3, “I align the seasons I think, to me like Kanye records. I feel like season 3 is our graduation. This is probably our most accessible but also the most authentic and real version of it, and I feel like the most enjoyable, like the third album.”
Atlanta Season 3 Release Date
Zazie Beetz told press that due to some delays, Atlanta Season 3 wouldn’t begin production until spring 2020. Fans will need to clear some space in 2020 schedule. FX CEO John Landgraf confirmed as much during his appearance at the 2019 TCA winter press tour. The upcoming season won’t arrive until late 2020, but whenever it comes, it will probably be worth the wait. For more updates, stay tuned to T.V. Seasons and Spoilers.
