American Gods Season 3: Plot Details
The third season of American Gods will focus on the specific portion of Lakeside of Neil Gaiman’s iconic novel. According to that, Lakeside is a place in Wisconsin where Shadow is hiding from the New Gods and their spooks. Meanwhile, Wednesday is trying to persuade the Old Gods to join his war. The town is also protected and controlled by Hinzelmann. There, Shadow will also discover that things are a bit more sinister than they initially seemed.
Ian McShane on American Gods Season 3
In a recent interview with star Ian McShane, some significant disclosures came out. According to him, Shadow has two revelations that happen with him, which will have to be solved in the third season. Also, when asked about how long will American Gods run, McShane said that he is also wondering how long they (show-runners) can draw out the book. Will it end with Season 3, or will there be a Season 4, before Shadow takes wing on his own? he added.
New Show-runner for the Sequel
The Walking Dead and Dexter alum Charles “Chic” Eglee will handle the upcoming season from behind. The third season landed on Chic after going through so many behind-the-scenes changes during the first and second seasons of American Gods. Neil Gaiman also shared his enthusiasm for having Chic on board. As Gaiman stated, “I’m thrilled that American Gods has been renewed for the third season, and even more thrilled that I’m getting to work on it along with Chic Eglee.” Not just this, he also praised the new show-runner as he is the best partner-in-crime, and Gaiman is delighted that he gets to carry the American Gods’ torch on to glory.
