Absentia Season 3: Ever since the series got renewed for its third season, the plot has been under speculation. Amazon Prime announced that the Stana Katic-led thriller is coming back for Season 3 but with some significant changes.
The Absentia series is an American thriller drama TV series which premiered on AXN on 25 September 2017. Oded Ruskin directs the inaugural season. Absentia series stars Stana Katic and Patrick Heusinger in the main lead. Moreover, the second season premiered on AXN on 26 March 2019. And now, the series is renewed for its third season.
What We Have Seen So Far
The second season was full of suspense and dramatic ups and downs. It starts with the questioning of the Boston FBI Officer and Special Agent Julianne Gunnarsen. In addition to that, viewers got to know who is Flynn’s therapist and Alice’s mentor. It’s non-other than Dr. Semo Oduwale. However, the season takes a severe turn, when Agent Gurrarsen puts Emily and Cal on a chase.
The killer-case is the amine plot of the previous season, and things turn complicated from thereon. However, the second season ends with the emotional turmoil. Emily goes into her grief shell as people get killed because of her. There’s a moment in the previous season when Nick Durand says that ‘we let the devil in.’ the dialogue became the most anticipated one and geared a lot of speculations.

The forthcoming season will open after the respective events of the second season. Moreover, the executive producer\actor Emily Byrne is near to her suspension from the FBI. Though she’s trying hard to be the perfect mother for her son. But, the situation will turn worse when she’ll be handed over one of her ex-husband’s criminal case.
In addition to that, Nick, the ex-husband, will even start to threaten the family. Although Emily will keep trying her best, things will not fall into places. The journey will also take her to Boston on an unexpected path. Faith will test her like never before, will even force her to love and trust again. And you never know this might finally make her realize her correct place in the world.
Absentia Season 3: Cast Updates
The Absentia stars Stana Katic and Patrick Heusinger are excited to reprise their role in Season three. The audience will also witness some cast addition. Geoff Bell and Josette Simon will enter the show as a fixer named Colin Dawkins. He works for an international criminal organization.
Furthermore, Rowena Kincade will reprise her role as the former instructor at Quantico. If the audience remembers, she had kept a check on Emily, and she noticed something suspicious. Although it’s unclear whether she’s a friend or foe. And from the original cast, Matthew is reprising his role as cal with Neil Jackson as Jack. And Paul freeman is coming back as Warren, with Natasha and Patrick as Gunnarsen and Flynn, respectively.
Absentia Season 3 Release Date
The filming for Absentia Season 3 is in process. Although no specific date for the release has been announced. But viewers can expect Absentia Season 3 to release in late 2020. Absentia series was initially commissioned for Sony Pictures Television’s international networks. And now, it will return for Season 3 in select markets on AXN across Latin America and Europe.
