After playing the role of Phyllis Summers for 5 years on The Young And The Restless, Gina Tognoni announced her departure from the show in March. The rest of the cast members gave a heartfelt goodbye to Gina. It was sure a night to remember! With a full heart, Gina thanks all her co-stars for the celebration.

On March 30th Gina announced that she will soon depart from the day time soap. She stated that she loved what she did and gave her best while working on The Young And The Restless. She also wished the show all the glory and riches it deserved. Gina expressed her gratitude towards Y&R viewers, Sony Pictures Television and CBS for the incredible part they played in her success.
She joined The Young And The Restless in 2014 for playing Phyllis Summers. She also won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for drama series. Fans also loved her as Kelly on One Life to Live which was her first great breakthrough.

Tracey Bergman posted three heart emojis in the comments section. Sharon Case also posted kissing emojis, a whole lot of them. Her co-stars were clearly bidding her a beautiful farewell even in the comments section. Daniel Goddard and Bryton James added that she is always going to be loved. Jessica Collins wrote that there was a lot of love for her in that room on her farewell night. Peter Bergman called her kind and mentioned that Gina approached everyone with an attitude of goodwill.

However, considering that she is now in a romantic relationship with Rey, Sharon is going to hesitate.

If Victor manages to get back Adam’s memories, it might take a toll on Sharon’s relationship with Rey and her newly built life. Nikki will also head to Vegas even though she is not sure how to react in this situation. After all, the person Victor perceives to be Adam could be a con artist. Some other highlights include Devon and Elena kiss. However, Elena realizes that there is something a little off about the kiss.
There are many fans who don’t agree with the decision of recasting Gina and replacing her with Michelle Stafford. According to the head writer, Michelle brings the best out of the role of Phyllis.
