General Hospital Alum John Stamos To Join A Disney+ Series

General Hospital

General Hospital alum John Stamos, much known for his role of Blackie Parrish, is all set to play a character in the new upcoming Disney+ series, Big Shot. The former General Hospital actor will play the role of Marvyn Corn, a basketball coach. After he is ousted from his job as a coach at NCAA, Corn starts looking for a new home. Then he finds an opportunity to coach in an all-girls high school. While teaching all the players, Marvyn grows as a person and also learns how to find the footing of all his players.

Recently, Stamos spoke about his casting as Coach Corn. He revealed that when he came to know about this, he was very happy as David E. Kelly, the writer, and creator of the show, is his favorite. However, Stamos was a bit afraid as he had always been bad at playing sports. The actor revealed that he panicked when he came to know that the series is about basketball. However, then he dug into the part as much as he could. He revealed that he used to go to a rehearsal with Jerry West, who was previously a player for the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Team.

Talking about his character, Stamos says that Marvyn has made some really big mistakes in life. However, this new job might lead him to both new championships and redemptions. The actor says that Coach Marvyn accepts that he needs to change a few things and learn more. Continuing on, Stamos says that the coach listens, and he grows through the first season. Stamos revealed that this job is his favorite job so far. Big Shot will release on Disney+ on April 16, 2021. We, at tvseasonspoilers.com, wish the best of luck to the legend for his new series.
