Previously, on EastEnders, the mystery around the fate of Rose Knight had been rapidly building up. Now, the teasers for the Wednesday and Thursday episodes of the long-running BBC soap, drop a huge clue about the biggest mystery surrounding Rose. On a side note, BBC also made an important announcement with the teaser. Both the fore-mentioned episodes will not be streamed on iPlayer ahead of time. Instead, the episodes will go up on TV as well as iPlayer simultaneously in the evening.
Coming back to the big reveal, it will take place in the Thursday episode of EastEnders, which will be an extended episode. It is to be noted that right around the time of this beg secret spill, the news of actress Michelle Collins reprising her role as Cindy, has also gone viral. This has given birth to many speculation fan theories. Ions ago, Cindy Baele (Ian Baele’s first wife) was presumed dead. And now, fans are wondering if Rose will be revealed to be Cindy! After all, her death was off-screen! So that does leave a foot in the door for her possible return!
Is Rose Really Cindy Baele? EastEnders Fans Contemplate
For the unversed, back in the late ’90s, Cindy fled the UK with her and Ian’s sons. However, not before hiring a hitman to kill Ian on EastEnders. Later, Ian hired a detective by the name of Ros Thorne to track Cindy and his sons. Ros then managed to track her in Italy. Ian brought his sons back home with the help of his stepdad and his brother. Eventually, Cindy returned to the UK to fight for her sons. But she was convicted and jailed instead. Later, Ian received word that Cindy had died in prison after giving birth to a daughter. Ian then named her Cindy after her deceased mother.
But now we wonder, is Cindy Baele really dead on EastEnders? Many fans believe that Cindy is still alive, and will soon be revealed as Rose. As the soap teaser declares, “Every Rose has a thorn.” Could this be a reference to the fact that P.I. Thorne could have some connection to Rose? Perhaps the detective will return to expose Rose as Cindy! The possibilities are endless at this point! Some fans are even speculating that after Ian left town, he could have tracked Cindy/Rose and may have reunited with her in Italy off-screen.
However, there is another section of EastEnders fans who are not buying the Cindy-Rose connection. They feel it’s more plausible that Rose is some undercover agent on a government mission. That would explain why Callum couldn’t access her records! Well, we have to agree that this mystery seriously has us intrigued, and we can’t wait to find out the real truth! But we guess we will have to wait for Thursday’s episode of EastEnders for that!
