12-years old Lily Slater on EastEnders is really causing her well-wishers to raise their eyebrows in concern with her association with an older man. Recently, Lily flaunted to her friends the new trainers that Theo gifted her. However, while it did extract some awe from them, they also expressed their concern that the older man could be grooming Lily. But she seems convinced that it’s not the case.
Is Theo Really Trying To Groom Lily on EastEnders?
It will be our “little secret,” Theo had assured Lily after her mother strictly told her that she couldn’t keep the trainers on EastEnders. When Lily narrated the tale to others, including Nugget Gulati immediately became fearful that this grooming attempt could lead to something more sinister, like a kidnapping. Although Amy quickly intervened that Nugget was overreacting. But she did push Lily to be careful, as these things could go awry at any point.
However, Lily stated that her aunt, Whitney Dean, has experienced grooming in the past, thus, she would be able to tell the difference if it was happening to her on EastEnders. Later, plagued by her family’s concerns Lily decided to confront Theo. When she saw him next, she point-blank asked him if he was a “pervert.” Theo was instantly taken aback by the accusation, but he calmed down and explained to her that her friends are mistaken and he has no foul intentions.
Is Theo Being Honest With Lily, Or is She About To Fall In Danger
To further convince her that he wasn’t some random weirdo on EastEnders, he told her that he has known and been friendly with Freddie, Stacey, and Jean for years. He then manages to convince Lily by changing the narrative and accusing her friends of being jealous. But is he really being honest with Lily about these things? Or is he just manipulating her for some ulterior motives of his own? He did manage to convince her to lie to her mother.
Currently, Lily is in a very vulnerable place with her pregnancy and her family’s financial constraints on EastEnders. Thus, an older male figure lending support and attention might easily influence her into doing their bidding. Could Theo be planning to use that to his advantage?
