The EastEnders head-honcho added that he had always wanted to bring back Cindy to the fold, but was unsure about the return storyline. However, that all changed when one of the writers proposed a storyline that made everyone on the table gasp! Clenshaw added that when Cindy was revealed dead, there was no dead-body, so it was plausible to bring her back. The only thing was that “we had to make sure it was credible,” he pointed.

Once they had the storyline locked in, all they had to do was to bring Adam Woodyatt back to play Ian on EastEnders. Furthermore, Clenshaw agreed that “people will question how they are back together!” After all, we all know that she hired a hitman to kill Ian, back in the day. However, Chris assured that all of the questions will get answered in the upcoming story. It will all be revealed! Clenshaw added that it has been 25 years since we last saw Cindy.
