These days Eric Brady is helping in the Congo, and Hope out of the canvas searching for Ciara Brady Weston. So, it looks like Nicole and Rafe might eventually get together. Although it does not looks like it would be an easy journey for any of them. How would the soap opera bring the two closer? It could have something with the two tackling a mystery together.
A New Baby Mystery Coming Up?
Days of Our Lives viewers who have been keeping up with the show must be aware that Nicole solved the whole baby swap mystery, and that led to the revelation that Mackenzie Horton is Rachel Black. Perhaps a new baby mystery could be on the horizon. This would be so huge that it might need Rafe’s involvement. Tripp Dalton does share DNA with Henry Horton, but is he really the baby’s father? Once Rafe comes to know about Tripp’s claims, he might want to dig to see what really the truth is.
Rafe Has Learned From His Mistakes
This Tripp case might remind Rafe of the previous case of David Ridgeway when Ciara came to him with a theory. She claimed that David’s father was the one who killed Jordan Ridgeway. Back then, Rafe was very sure that the DNA found in the scene belonged to David and Ben Weston. Nevertheless, Ciara had pushed Rafe to look at the other possibilities. She argued that maybe the DNA was misinterpreted and pushed that maybe the assumptions were the reasons for all the mistakes.
Ciara added that some similarities in the DNA might have caused this confusion. That time, Rafe was stunned when Ciara was right, and that led to Evan Frears being caught for Jordan’s murder. That gave Rafe a valuable lesson, indeed. Would Rafe think back on what if the history is repeating itself? Rafe might even point out that possibility for Nicole.

While Rafe might put a number of people on his radar as suspects, one character we think is quite significant is Charlie Dale. He is most likely the rape suspect. It is possible that Rafe and Nicole might work together in order to solve this mystery. They would probably go behind Allie’s back and solve it.
