As per a new promo by ET, Kody is going to talk about his mother-in-law in the series. However, while doing so, he will be disclosing how his family tree is really complicated. In the clip, the polygamist says his later mother-in-law was also his stepmom. Yes, this means his second wife, Janelle Brown, was his step-sister!
Kody says his first two wives, Meri and Janelle, were really good friends before the latter joined their family. As viewers know, she did so by being his plural wife. Hence, when all three began being friends, Janelle introduced her mother Sheryl to the TV star’s father, William Winn Brown. Eventually, their parents ended up marrying one another. Therefore, that made Sheryl Kody’s biological mom’s sister-wife and also his stepmom. Then, when he married the second wife, her mom also became his mother-in-law. Hence, Sheryl’s passing deeply affected the cast member.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Had To Convince Janelle To Get Into Polygamy?
When fans got familiar with all Sister Wives cast members, the rumor mill had gone wild. That’s because they began assuming that both Kody and Meri Brown pulled Janelle into polygamy. Despite this, there is another side of the fandom that believes Janelle began seeing the husband behind his first wife’s back! In fact, a Redditor shed light on this matter and claimed the couple wanted to say ‘i do’ to one another on the 50-year-old’s birthday! Luckily, the family head’s mother had to urge him not to do so as it was a “bad move”.
Therefore, certain viewers believe Meri might not have anything to do with pulling Janelle into a plural marriage, but she probably got cheated on. Thus, they also believe the former wife had no other option but to accept his husband’s choice. As a result, they all began practicing polygamy.
