Meri Brown Lost Her Mother Bonnie Ahlstrom!
This March 2021, Kody’s first wife, Meri, lost her mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom. Well, many of you had seen her multiple times on the show. Fans had also watched her supporting her daughter to owe her grandparent’s house, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. Unfortunately, Bonnie was only 76 when she passed away. After the tragic incident. Meri talked about her grief on Instagram. The TV star shared how much she misses her mom from time to time. In fact, she wrote a lengthy caption describing how her mother was.
Her “life mission was to love, to give, and to serve,” TLC personality captioned. She added she’s happy that now her mom can spend time with her dad, son, and daughter. Meri also captioned, continue loving and hugging around you. Shortly after her post, Janelle also commented on Meri’s post. She wrote “I will miss” her so much. After then the family patriarch also shows his sorrow on Instagram. He stated, “so sad, missing” Bonnie.
Janelle’s Mom’s Tragic Demise
Janelle Brown lost her mom a few months before Bonnie died. Sheryl Brown turned 76 on December 7, 2020, and she took her last breath the same day. Kody’s second wife gave herself a week to handle and overcome this sorrow before announcing it on Instagram. Well, her fans can understand that. Despite Sheryl leaving the world on December 7, her services took place on December 12 in Wyoming.
Later on, the second wife mentioned that some miracles happened at the last moment. So, this brought her and her sister close to their mother. So, they can spend some more time together. She also believes that they would see each other again and live their lives in peace. Janelle had also mentioned before that they planned to spend eternity as a family together and believed one day she could meet her soon.
Kody’s Brother Curtis’ Awful Death
Back in 2013, Kody revealed that he lost his brother Curtis Brown when he was only 34. Later, he revealed that Curtis died due to the motorcycle accident. Many fans are already aware of him as he appeared multiple times on the show. In the third season, Curtis has appeared in the “Brown Boys Do Vegas” episode. In this episode, the family patriarch was joined by two of his brother. Michael and Scott Brown joined Kody and Curtis on this episode, where they shared a night of bonding.

Just a few weeks after Curtis’ tragic death, Kody and the Brown family lost the family patriarch. Kody’s father, Winn, took his last breath after one of his sons died. He was just 78 when he left the world. Well, it was a pretty emotional episode and a relatively harder time for the Brown family. It was pretty challenging to deal with two deaths back-to-back.
