Sister Wives star Janelle Brown recently got the lesion above her lip removed. But what she must have thought of to be a minor issue turned out to be life-threatening. Recently, the reality TV star revealed her skin cancer diagnosis. Let’s take a look at this in detail.
Sister Wives: Janelle Brown Has Skin Cancer
The second wife of Kody Brown posted a picture on her social media revealing a bandage above her lip. She had been thinking that the lesion was just a scar. But in reality, it was a sign of “basal cell carcinoma.”
The lesion came in a spot where Jenelle has had cold sores for years. So, she never thought it could turn into something big. She tried out different kinds of creams made for scars. But they had no effect on it. So, she took an appointment with her dermatologist. However, due to the pandemic, the appointment got canceled.
In mid-April, she got the telemedicine and saw her doctor via phone. After a week she got a biopsy and she finally got the lesion removed. The scarring will be minimal and it’s going to take a few weeks to heal completely.
Sister Wives: Wake Up Call For Janelle
Janelle stated that this diagnosis was a wake-up call for her to take care of her skin. She also stated that skin cancer usually doesn’t spread. Janelle thought that she was playing safe using sunscreen on her skin whenever possible. However, it turns out that she will be extra careful with her skin this time.
Fans have been noticing the lesion on her face for over a year. They also said that it looked more like a mole. All in all, they are glad that Janelle finally got it checked out. She is one of the least-dramatic Sister Wives on the show and fans are happy to watch her chilled out attitude.
She was the only wife secure enough to support Kody’s idea to live with the entire family in a single house. We have never seen Janelle having jealousy issues on the show. She has been helpful to her co-souses as well as to Kody. Moreover, Kody’s second wife has not caused many troubles in the family. At present, all we can do is wish her a speedy recovery and pray for her health.
