Meri Brown is clueless about what to do about racism as she tried to shut down her critics. Before she posted something about ‘Black Lives Matter’ Meri has been off social media for about one week. Let’s take a look.
Sister Wives: Meri Shows Supports for Protestors Demanding Justice
As protesters condemned the brutally of the police and asked for justice for George Floyd, she also revealed that she doesn’t have an answer. She acknowledged how people can mistake her silence for something else and misinterpret what she feels about the entire thing.
Then she stated that she took a step back the previous week to settle the chaos in her mind. She was busy contemplating, having conversations, and organizing her thoughts. She also revealed the things she thought about while she wasn’t present on social media.
What Does Meri Have To Say About This Situation?
Meri believes that everyone should have equal opportunities irrespective of their skin color. She stated that she has never been a racist. But then, the reality TV star started wondering what had she done to ensure equality for all?
She heard about the Black Lives Matter movement years ago and also heard that all lives matter. According to her present understanding, they don’t matter to a lot of people. Meri then took an example from her own life and compared the current situation to it.
Her sister passed away due to colon cancer and during the awareness months, not too many people fight back saying that ALL cancer types matter. She further clarifies by saying that when someone says black lives matter, it doesn’t mean white lives don’t. According to her, it’s a gross misinterpretation.
Sister Wives: Meri Doesn’t Have The Answers But Is Ready To Do Her Bit
Meri made it clear that she doesn’t know a solution to this problem. She listens to people and learns more about it. However, according to her, what most people can do is play their part to honor little Gianna Floyd and her father. She also urged fans to do their part and contribute to the change.
How Is The Rest of The Brown Family Reacting to The Movement?
Meri is the only member of the Brown family who has given such a strong statement about the movement. Janelle participated on the blackout Tuesday. However, Robyn and Kody have remained tight-lipped on this matter.
Apparently, Christine found herself amid a surge of hatred when fans accused her of profiting from the movement. She said something about perfectly imperfect fits. After that, she turned off her comments when fans started to ask what she meant.
