There was a time Sister Wives star Kody refused to help his first wife with her bed and breakfast. However, now when Meri made it through on her own, we can say that she is the most independent of all the Sister Wives.

Meri stated that there was a time her grandmother lived in Lizzie’s Heritage Inn and her name was Lizzie, after which they named the bed and breakfast. The theme revolves around experiencing the past. They give guests the choice of four different kinds of accommodations.
According to the website, we can see that the Inn boasts classic furniture, antique beds, modern accommodations for the bath, photo art from the 19th century and much more. There are two twin beds and a queen-sized bed in the room Meri refers to as the grandma room. This is where her grandma used to sleep.

One category of the room features a private bathroom and a queen-sized bed with floral pink wallpaper. Another has a king-sized bed, a private bathroom, white brick walls, and pink carpeting. The one on the first floor features a bathroom and a king-sized bed.
Meri currently lives in Arizona with Kody and her Sister Wives family. Her mom helps run the Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. Initially, when Meri agreed on making the down payment, she asked Kody for a loan of $40,000. However, he had his reservations.

When Kody voiced his reservations about investing in the bed and breakfast, he said that they are not money-making businesses. He also implied that if he invested, would he be one of the board of directors telling her how to run it? Meri was quick to decline. Even though the other wives supported the idea, Kody wasn’t on board with it.
In a confessional, Meri said that the bed and breakfast is like her baby. She also said that the others don’t care about the house or business and she wants to run it as she wants. Ultimately, Meri earned via her clothing business LuLaRoe and didn’t need anybody else’s help.

Meri was excited when she announced the ribbon cutting on December 13, 2017. The home had been in Meri’s family since 1870. But after some time, the owners sold it. She worked hard to get it back into the family.
