Whitney shared an Instagram post on account of World Mental Health Day. She started off her post by saying that none is alone in their struggle with bad mental health. To emphasize her point, she revealed being diagnosed with depression at 18 and then dealing with it for the past 20 years. Thore further opened up about struggling with atypical anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and generalized anxiety disorder. If this is not enough, the global pandemic in 2020 had made matters worse.
As reported by Soapdirt, For Thore, it was more difficult as she had a broken relationship weighing her down as well. She had previously opened up about how tough a time it was for a while to deal with her broken self. Severino’s infidelity came as a blow to her and she had had to deal with it in her own way.
Whitney Shares That Social Media Is No Real
Whitney explained that nobody is alone in this and that we’re all together. Furthermore, she added that social media is not a real thing. One must not compare their lives with others here. She added that she would want to be her real self on social media. However, she just cannot bring herself to spill details of her personal loss and whatnot. To date, this time has been the most difficult for her mental health. She further shared tips on how she’s dealing with mental health problems.
Whitney Is Back To Her Therapy, Feeling Better
Whitney shared about taking her medication on time and getting back to therapy after 1.5 years. She explained about the effectiveness of therapy and how it helps to have a communication with someone. She also revealed her inclination towards isolating herself. In fact, with lockdown in place, it got increasingly difficult for her to manage everything. However, she is pushing herself and at the same time, motivating others too. Her positive words impacted her followers, who said that she ‘makes the hard times easier to deal with.’
