And there it is! The 10th cast member to file a lawsuit against the My 600 Lb Life production company Megalomedia. It’s unexpected of Alicia, however, she filed a fraud lawsuit against the company. Let’s take a detailed look at this.
My 600 Lb Life: More Than One Lawsuit In a Month For Megalomedia
Megalomedia has been such strongly under the grip of all these lawsuits, it’s almost becoming the trend of the decade! A while back, the My 600 Lb Life Season 7 star Destinee Lashaee filed a case of improper care of the cast, gross negligence, and fraud on the company. Since LB Bonner’s family made a move against the production company, it seems like the incident has given hope to a lot of cast members.
Some other cast members who have sued the My 600 Lb Life’s production company for similar allegations include Dottie Perkins; Nicole Lewis; David Bolton; Jeanne Covey, Maja Radanovic; Annjeanette Whaley; and Gina Krasley. It seems like the cast members are still paying medical bills they didn’t sign up for. In the beginning, the show promised them all kinds of medical reimbursements. But later, they broke their promise.
My 600 Lb Life: What Does Alicia’s Lawsuit Say?
Alicia has also blamed the company for the medical debt she is in. Even though she hasn’t revealed the amount yet, she is in deep financial trouble. Another claim says that the therapy they offered during the show was just one session.
She reached out to the producers for following up on her mental health improvement. But they either left that unaddressed or brushed it off. It means that they faked an entire mental health examination session just for the sake of the show. Even though some of the previous lawsuits have stated that the company didn’t take care of the patient’s mental health as promised, but faking sessions is a bit too much.
My 600 Lb Life: Alicia’s Journey On The Show
Alicia’s journey on My 600 Lb Life began when she weighed 622 pounds. She brought her weight down to about 436 pounds when she underwent weight-loss surgery. According to the recent news, she was celebrating her 8th anniversary with her boyfriend Tim. On the show, we saw Tim being portrayed as someone who had an issue with Alicia and Dr. Now’s interactions. However, Alicia cleared the air and said that he ha been nothing but supportive of her.
