In the wake of the Black Lives Matter Movement, the woke reality star Matt Roloff took to Instagram to share a few quotes. He further claimed that he was all ‘in’ to ‘do better.’ As he shared a post supporting the movement, a few fans slammed him for being privileged in the comments. Well, that offended the TLC star and quickly fired back at them. Let’s have a look at what happened.

Matt posted a quote on Instagram in response to ongoing protests against racism. It read: “Practice gentleness, seek truth, give up anger, do not slander, and have compassion for all beings.” He further added in the caption reminding people that “we live in times of opportunity to do better. I’m in!” What seemed to be a positive post didn’t get along well with his fans. Some of them didn’t seem to like Roloff’s step of supporting the movement.

Although Matt received a lot of praise for his post, there was one left unimpressed. He pointed out: “Careful, Matt, your white privilege is showing.” Roloff took note of this and fired back at the user. He said to the user that “that’s probably the most uninformed thing you can say to another human of profound short stature.” He further explained that the little people have got no privilege. In fact, they have to fight for every inch they get. Matt also added that the little people community has to go through a flurry of struggles, including bullying, discrimination, teasing, unemployment. “Shame on you!” said Matt, signing off.
Fans Supported Matt’s Response To The Rude Remark
A lot of fans supported Roloff for his response. They did agree that the commenter shared a pretty rude view. However, there was yet another fan who called out Matt for not voicing his opinions clearly. He blamed Roloff of “not wanting to rock the boat with your core conservative audience.” The fan said they were disappointed with the Roloff family except for Matt’s son, Jacob.
Jacob Roloff Supports Black Lives Matter Movement
Jacob has been absent from Little People Big World since 2016. Following George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis police custody on May 25, Jacob showed active participation. He shared posts on the ways people can take action and also shared quotes from books. He even tagged his family in one of the posts saying: “Tagging my family (those with great followings) because they have majority White audiences who desperately require a call to solidarity with these protesters and dissenters.” However, none of them stepped forward.
