When Jackson and Lilah were born, their parents Zach and Tori Roloff, were well aware that there might be some health issues coming up in the future. Little People Big World star Zach was born with achondroplasia, just like his mother, Amy Roloff. Both Amy and Matt had to face several problems related to Zach’s health when he was young. Hence, since Jackson and Lilah both have inherited this particular type of dwarfism, their growing-up years could be tough on their parents.
In fact, the issues have already started to emerge. These Roloff grandkids might have to go through surgeries in the future. Here’s what you need to know.
Little People Big World: Zach & Tori Reveal Jackson Might Need Surgery, Lilah’s Health Issues
Now that almost all Roloff kids have left the show, Zach and his wife Tori have become the absolute favorite stars of Little People Big World. In fact, their children Jackson and Lilah are popular celebrities too. They’ve both received a lot of love from fans and will continue to be the apple of their eye. Hence, when the trailer of Season 22 revealed the kids have some medical issues, everyone was concerned for them. In an exclusive clip by People, Zach and Tori were seen discussing the topic in detail.
Tori Roloff talks about how their 18-month-old daughter has been sick for the first year of her life. She remembered her 9-month doctor’s appointment related to her low weight. Also, there is “a bunch of little stuff” that adds up and becomes concerning for the parents. The young mom has been quite worried for her daughter as she continues to have some health issues here and there. The previous trailer also mentioned Lilah’s vision issue, as she’s getting cross-eyed these days. Hence, the little celebrity might need needs glasses or even surgery for better vision.
On the other hand, Tori and Zach have also been worried about Jackson, as his legs are starting to bow. Hence, they plan to consult a doctor to check out his legs. In fact, the parents reveal that their little one might even need leg surgery like his dad. Tori talks about how she doesn’t want this issue to get to a point where he’s hurting. The young parents are aware that they’d have to deal with it in the coming years and want to be ready to move on it. Thus, at this point in time, they are trying to check the problem and see if he needs surgery before things get serious.
Little People Big World: Zach Reveals Scary Experience
As the conversation about Jackson’s potential leg surgery continues, Zach starts to talk about his “painful” past experiences. He revealed that he had two similar surgeries when he was young. At the age of 9 or 8, the Little People Big World celeb had surgery that put growth plate and casts on both his legs. The second one came through in his teenage years when he was 14 or 15, which was even featured on the earlier seasons of the show. It was done on his right leg, which is the one that’s pinned down. However, Tori doesn’t want her son to go through two surgeries like his dad.
As Zach talked about his experience with the surgeries, Tori looked very uncomfortable by the things he mentioned. She mentions that she will not be okay if her son has to go through something so scary. However, they also have a positive approach to the serious topic. The couple wants to monitor their children and the potential medical issues they might face in the coming future. Tori says that she’s sure that they’re all going to come together as a family and take care of things in any serious situation.
As of now, Jackson has his leg appointment and we hope everything goes well for him. We will update this section with more details in the future.
