Matt and Amy Roloff split in 2015 after 27 years of their marriage with four children. Despite this, they remained cordial towards each other. They continued to star in the TLC show and attend family events and gatherings together. Most importantly, they didn’t let go of the business they built together – the Roloff farms in Oregon. It seems like nothing went wayward between the estranged spouses.
The problems started mounting and then escalated between Amy and Roloff after last year. This followed Amy accusing her ex-husband of cheating on her with his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler. She said that this episode drained her emotionally. However, most people believe that Roloff farms turned out to be the bone of contention and not Caryn, really. For Amy’s part, she is having difficulty in letting go of her share and selling it to Matt. On the other hand, Matt is now irritated by his ex-wife’s reluctance and tantrums.

The premiere of Season 21 on September 29 featured Matt further pressing the issue of the farm. He said that there is no pumpkin business without the farm. And there’s apparently no land without the business. This had Amy in a fix. Matt even said that the sale of Amy’s part would eventually get her rid of any memory of the past 20 years. That made the Roloff matriarch quite emotional. Although now things have sorted out between the two but back then, they had to go through a lot when the show was filmed.
Fans Take Sides On Amy And Matt’s Property Issue
There was a point when Matt said that he longer wants to live in limbo. After this, Zach too, voiced his concern. However, he ended the thing by saying that he and his brother Jeremy have got no time for their parents’ ongoing drama. But the LPBW fans did express their opinion on social media. They vocally took their respective stands deciding who among Matt and Amy was wrong. One of them said that Amy must move now. Another fan, too, had a similar thought adding that ‘joint assets need to be divided or sold and dealt with.’ However, others defended Amy and shared that she must be given her time to emotionally deal with the situation.
