Amy states that the past week has been really tough for her after hearing the sad news. She goes on to say that Ember and Jackson melt her heart and always make her smile. Amy mentioned that she loves them a lot and is proud to be a grandmother. In June, Amy’s mom was in the hospital. She went home to see her parents. Amy also expressed her apprehension and said that as she gets older, her parents get older too. Just like the old times, she made dinner for them.

About three weeks later, Amy revealed that her mom’s heart was weak. At the time, Amy was waiting for her mom to come home from the hospital. The fact that she was tired of hospital food and ready to go home was a good sign. Amy revealed that her mom has a sharp mind, and it won’t be easy for her not to be able to do things she likes. The transition was going to be hard, and Amy knew it.

Amy went to Michigan one last time to meet her mom. She seemed to prepare for this as Amy stated that she didn’t know whether she was going to get another day to spend, a meal or a conversation again.
