Is Counting On renewed for another season? A rumor has started circulating on social media saying that TLC’s Duggar show is coming back for another season. But is that real? Are Duggars ready to once again enter the reel world after facing the huge scandal in the real world? Lately, fans believed that the show will never get a chance to return to the screen ever since Josh Duggar’s child abuse case surfaced. However, the renewal rumor came as a surprise to everyone. Let us look below what is truth and whatnot.
Counting On: Renewed For Fall?
Without A Crystal Ball reported that one of Counting On fan pages, Duggarbates_confessions, recently posted an e-mail of Discovery Channel UK. The e-mail talked about the renewal of TLC’s show Counting On. However, the Discovery Channel was of UK. Keep in mind that UK and US shows differ from each other. The e-mail stated, “I appreciate your interest in Counting On. It’s great to hear such positive feedback from a loyal viewer.”
The e-mail further announced to the receiver that the program is due to return to TLC with new episodes later this year. However, the exact airing dates weren’t mentioned in the mail. The mail was sent on June 2021. Does that mean that the show is renewed despite Josh’s child abuse case? If the renewal news is true, then why isn’t it revealed on Counting On or The Duggar Family’s official page?
Counting On: Is The Renewal Only A Rumor And Not Real?
It isn’t yet confirmed as to whether Counting On was really renewed or not. Moreover, the verification of the email is also not yet done. If it’s real, fans will get to know soon because any of the Duggar members will announce it. However, if not, then the silence will continue. Meanwhile, TLC recently did their summer press release, announcing the shows which are renewed. There were six shows on the list. And, Counting On was nowhere to be seen.
The announcement included Darcey and Stacey, Dr. Pimple Popper, Say Yes To The Dress, My Feet Are Killing Me, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, and Welcome To Plathville. And fans couldn’t find TLC’s Counting On anywhere. So, does that mean the show’s renewal news is just a rumor? It might be so.
Last year, the show returned in July. However, this year, there isn’t any official announcement about the renewal of the show. It looks like Josh Duggar has severely affected the show’s renewal and status.
Meanwhile, Josh Duggar’s trial is yet to begin. The date for the trial is currently scheduled for July 6. However, it might not start on the same day because the former star and his attorney have requested the delay. And, the delay might be approved by the court, but only for three months. It is certain that the postponement will not be done till 2022, as asked by Josh’s attorney. And the trial must begin before the end of this year. Let us further wait to see what happens ahead. Until then, stay tuned in this space with us.
