‘Counting On’: Josh’s Appeal For Child Molestation Case Denied

Josh Duggar has been involved in molestation scandals and he has been notoriously in the news for the same. The latest update on that is his appeal for the molestation case got denied. Let’s take a detailed look at it.

Counting On: The Ongoing Legal Battle of The Reality TV star

In 2015, Josh Duggar admitted that he had been inappropriate with multiple girls in the past. The disturbing thing is that two of them were his very own sisters and he molested them when he was a teen. He has been booted from TV. However, the legal battle is an ongoing one.

According to sources, the Arkansas Court of Appeals upheld the decision of a lower court dismission the lawsuit he filed against the county officials two years back. According to his claims, the officials released information about his minor sisters being molested and so the lawsuit challenged the release.

However, the judge dismissed the assertions. The appeals court has cited that the law he described didn’t prohibit the release of the information. He was asking for $75,000 for a jury trial, legal fees, and damages via his filing.

Counting On: Josh Duggar And Sexual Abuse

The police looked into the sexual abuse allegations against Josh Duggar in the year 2006. The incidents occurred in 2002-2003. However, no one filed any charges on him. Josh issued a public apology in 2015 when the news reports got out. His two sisters along with his parents also confirmed that the molestation happened.

As a response to the massive controversy, TLC canceled the Counting On spinoff 19 Kids and Still Counting. The molestation is not the only scandal Josh has been involved in. In addition to it, he is also infamous for his cheating scandal. He was on the site Ashley Madison. The whole intent of the website was to cheat in relationships.

When he got caught, Josh admitted to cheating on his wife Anna. He also admitted to having an addiction to porn. He once again went to rehab and people believed that his second trip to rehab changed him for good. Some fans say that Anna is trapped amid all this solely because of her religious beliefs.

Counting On: Does The Family Discriminate Against Men and Women In The Family?

From the very concept of the show, we can assume that they define roles based on gender to all their family members. According to the Duggar family, women are supposed to take care of the kids and the household. Jim Bob and Michelle never really disowned Josh fro what he did.

But Derick revealed that they did segregate Jill for going against the family rules. Wearing modern clothing, sending her kid to a public school, to name a few. Not only that, but Jill also needed permission to visit her siblings in the big house.

As for Josh, it doesn’t seem like his parents punished him at all! The worst part is that it’s extremely unfair to his sisters who were actually victims of his molestations. His wife Anna has also forgiven him for cheating on her. Moreover, she has also posted pictures on Instagram boasting her love for her husband. Do you think it’s fair to Josh’s victims?
