Even though Angela goes bonkers when the question of polygamy comes up, Michael said something during the Tell All that assures he’s never going to go down that path. He has been in favor of taking another wife just to have a kid. But it looks like the Nigerian native is not going to be polygamous with Angela and here is the reason why.

Angela stormed off immediately after Michael said that he would be willing to opt for the other way if Angela can’t have a child. Even though Michael tried to convey that he wouldn’t have sex with another woman, she kept on yelling. When she ran off, the host Shaun took the opportunity to provide Michael a chance to explain. She asked him whether he would take another wife and he clearly refused.
By other way, Michael meant that he would be willing to undergo IVF or adopt. Shaun went on to ask that if taking a second wife is allowed in their culture, does anyone in their family follow this. His aunt grinned, obviously because she knew the answer. Michael then revealed that his late father had three wives.
Michael’s Aunt Reminds Him The Condition Under Which His Family Accepted Angela
Michael’s family accepted Angela only under one condition. She had to be willing to have Michael’s biological child to which she said yes. But due to her advancing age and medical issues, it seems unlikely. His aunt kept on insisting that Michael should have a child with another woman.
But Michael made it clear that he doesn’t believe in polygamy being his way to go. He considered one wife as one problem, two wives as two problems, and so on. The other cast members gave a scornful laugh at the comparison. But he was sure that Angela would be his only wife.
The reason being, since a young age, he observed and experienced his father’s plural marriage and the problems it brought in the family. According to him, it was a lot to handle and he is not putting himself through that. It looks like Angela has nothing to worry about in this area! Although her reaction to Michael equating his bride to a problem is something we have to watch her reaction on.
