In the recent episodes of the current season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Elizabeth and Andrei have been going through a lot since they decided to have another wedding in Moldova. But what Elizabeth initially thought would be her dream wedding turned out to be an experience with a lot of compromises from her end.
From tolerating Andrei’s constant insults to compromising on the wedding menu, Elizabeth is making her way to do one more thing she has been reluctant to do for a long time. The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After star is baptizing to Andrei’s religion, Orthodox Christianity. His parents feel that it’s an important requirement before the couple can get married. Let’s take a look.
Elizabeth Tells TLC Cameras About Her Conversion
On their wedding day, Elizabeth tells the cameras that she is going to convert to Andrei’s religion. It’s a little weird considering that she can’t even pronounce it. But Andrei tells the cameras that she is going to be an orthodox Christian. As her sister-in-law puts a white headscarf covering her hair, Elizabeth asks whether men have to wear one.
But Andrei makes it clear that it’s only for women. To that, Libby says that it’s not fair. She admits that she has no idea hat it’s going to be like. However, to get ahead with their wedding, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After star says that she is ready to do it.
90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Elizabeth Calls It Another world
According to Elizabeth, it’s an entirely new world. She said that the rules are too many. She can’t wear makeup, has to be dressed fully in white, and women have to wear a headscarf. Elizabeth hasn’t been exactly a fan of Andrei’s attitude since they reached Moldova. According to her, he is exhibiting the alpha male characteristics and being too chauvinistic.
For instance, when they arrived in Moldova, he didn’t give her an exact translation of what his mother was saying. Andrei implied that women in Moldova are more active than women in America to which Elizabeth took offense. He also emphasized traditional gender roles which was it for Libby. When she clapped back stating that he doesn’t have a job either, he accused her of insulting him.
90 Day Fiance: Will Andrei and Elizabeth’s Relationship Last?
With Andrei reluctant to work and be the breadwinner of the family, it’s already hard for Elizabeth to make things work. Adding so many rules and making her convert to his religion might work temporarily. But everything combined has made their relationship vulnerable to more marital issues.
