The 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined stars Akinyo and Benjamin have some major updates after a long time. The two have maintained a low profile for the time being. But the 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined features them and the highlight is that they are not in a hurry to get married. Let’s take a detailed look at this.
90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined; Akinyi’s Visa Postponed Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
Akinyi has not been able to appear for her final interview for coming to the US as the embassies are closed due to the coronavirus outbreak. During quarantine, Akinyi is in Kenya, and Ben is at home with his son.

She also said that she feels like Benjamin is rushing her into the marriage. Akinyi further elaborates by saying that she wants to know the American lifestyle by spending a full 90 days and then decide on getting married.
A Quick Glance At Akinyi and Benjamin’s Story
Benjamin met Akinyi when he went to Kenya to see her in person for the first time. He had to seek permission from her father, brother, and other elders before he could propose to her. Ben also had to pay a bride price according to the Kenyan tradition in exchange for Akinyi’s hand in marriage.
However, since he was unable to pay the price there and then, Akinyi’s dad agreed to collect the amount in installments. Once they settled the bride price, they were married over there. However, their marriage won’t be legal in the States. So, Ben had her file for a K1 visa.
90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined; Coming To America Not Akinyi’s First Choice?
Coming to America with Ben was not Akinyi’s first choice. In fact, she wanted him to come live with her in Kenya. However, she realized that he has his son there who has to be his first priority. Ben stated that long-distance relationships are strenuous and he doesn’t see it viable for the long term.
He says that he has already been into that process for about two years. Do you think with Akinyi wanting to wait, and Benjamin wanting to get married the first chance they get, can they work it out? Ben is seriously against extending his long-distance tenure while Akinyi doesn’t have a problem with it. Sound off what you think in the comments below.
