Lani’s mom said that she went out for ice cream. But when she came back, she told her mom that she had to pay for other kids’ ice cream as they didn’t have money. Moreover, she used to offer food to a little girl in need for a whole year in a brown bag. She made sure that the girl won’t go hungry even if summer began. Lani went to her counselor to narrate the entire situation. This tells us that she always watches out for others.

When Tim entered the room, Lani’s first reaction was to hug him immediately. She got so emotional that she broke into tears. She is a big fan of the show. Lani also tells him that he is her favorite on the show. Tim asks her what’s going on in her life. He also asks her about school. Her answer is not a happy one, though. Lani tells him that the other kids don’t like her. He gives her the message that it doesn’t really matter whether others like you or not.
Tim tells her that people bully others because they are not happy about themselves. He shared his own story about being bullied when he was her age. People called him gay. He was skinny, and the other kids always picked on him. He brought her a signed present. It was an anti-bully award. It gave a positive message about feeling good about yourself.

Avery tells her that she is beautiful on the inside out. She also lets her know that what she is doing is great. And she should not listen to anybody who tells her otherwise. Since she converted to a Muslim, she is facing a lot of issues.
As soon as Avery hangs up, Tim tells Lani that she is having a hard time because of her conversion. Also, there are three people on the show that have faced bullying. Suddenly, Darcey appears on the screen and tells Lani that she is beautiful and that bullying has to stop. She tells Lani that she is loved and cared for. She makes it clear that no one can take her shine away. After that, Tim told her that they are here for her support. Later, he hugs her and is thankful to her for welcoming him into his house.
