My 600 Lb Life: Julius ‘JT’ Clark Lost 400 Pounds & Counting!
JT, a native of Owasso, Oklahoma, appeared in season 8 of My 600 LB Life in 2020. At that time, JT was 32 years old and weighed an astonishing 892 pounds. Seeking help, JT turned to renowned bariatric surgeon Dr Younan Nowzaradan or Dr Now, who agreed to assist him. Dr Now put JT on a serious diet, which helped him lose 126 pounds. He also advised JT to relocate to Houston to reduce the toll of constant travel. At the start of his journey, JT had a girlfriend, Jessica who eventually left him due to his untrollable addiction. Fortunately, his cousin Blair stepped in to support him in Houston.
Initially, JT struggled with motivation after Jessica’s departure. However, he persevered and managed to shed nearly 400 pounds, bringing his weight down to 491 pounds. Dr Now then informed him that he would soon be ready for his lymphedema surgery. JT did not appear on season 12 of My 600 Lb Life but his transformation continued.
JT later appeared on My 600 Lb Life: Where Are They Now?, which aired on June 5, 2024. His lymphedema surgery was delayed due to COVID-19 shutdowns. However, after two years and nine months, he was finally ready. In February 2023, JT sought a ride to Houston on Facebook and later shared that his uncle would be driving him. Post surgery JT, who weighed 357 pounds at that time, lost an additional 80 pounds. Overall, JT has lost almost 600 pounds and counting to date. Moreover, he continues to work on his health and well-being.

JT is rarely active on social media. But his occasional Facebook updates offer glimpses of his epic transformation. In a December 2020 post, JT shared a photo of his noticeably slimmer face. The picture was unrecognizable, thanks to the My 600 Lb Life star’s successful weight loss journey.
By March 2023, JT’s profile picture revealed even more progress. He appeared to have maintained a controlled diet with a slimmer face and a more defined jawline. In February 2024, JT updated his Facebook status to announce that he had started dating Emily Mahan. Many have featured on My 600 Lb Life, but few have had such an inspiring journey as JT.
