However, as the seasons progressed, the parents, Kim and Barry, became lenient and began exposing their kids to the luxuries of the outer world.
But as time passed, the family of 11 has adapted to the world. Along with the show focussing on their ups and downs, couple Kim and Barry Plath also announced their divorce in the show. Since then, the family has had to go through another obstacle and deal with this new life change. It seems like Barry has been having issues with Kim’s new partner after their split.
Welcome To Plathville: Barry Unwilling To Interact With Kim’s Boyfriend Ken As They Meet!
Barry Plath was devastated when Kim wanted to divorce him. He wanted to work on their marriage and fix it, but his wife had made up her mind about moving on, and they parted ways in 2022. Only a few months after this, she found a new boyfriend, Ken Palmer. Things got so serious that they also moved in.
Meanwhile, Barry focused on going to the gym and spending time with the kids. In the new Welcome To Plathville promo, Kim, Barry, and Ken were all in the same place. The former couple’s daughter Moriah had planned a family get-together for her concert. It was the first time Kim’s current boyfriend and ex-husband were in the same place.
Kim had mentioned how Ken had been willing to make efforts to meet Barry but the latter didn’t want to do so. She also joked about waiting to see who would punch whom first. At last, these men ended up sitting at opposite tables. Later, Barry decided to humor Kim by saying, “Just like old times when they met.”
The Welcome To Plathville star also mentioned he couldn’t see his ex-wife after a while as she seemed to have “disappeared.” So, Barry was standing next to her boyfriend, Ken. So, both these men had no other option but to talk. Well, the promo ended before they could say anything. Fans will have to wait for the episode to see how it went.
Welcome To Plathville: Kim Feels Barry Will Only Accept Ken When He Has A Girlfriend Of His Own!
It’s been two years since Kim and Barry decided to divorce. While the former was quick to move on, the latter is still finding his way. The Welcome To Plathville patriarch has still not started dating even when their kids like Micah are ready to play his wingman. While talking about their situation Kim mentioned something.
She feels Barry will only come around to accepting her and Ken’s relationship only when he too ends up dating someone. She mentioned how she and her boyfriend wanted her ex-husband to know them and make peace with the situation. But it was clear that Barry was avoiding meeting his ex wife and her new boyfriend.
