Victoria And Adam’s Power Struggle For CEO Position
For starters, Y&R viewers know that with everything going on with Victoria, Victor has made Adam the interim CEO of Newman-Locke. Victoria and Adam have always had a power struggle between them. They both have always wanted to be on top. Before Ashland entered the scene, Adam was perfectly running the business. But then Ashland manipulated Victoria into merging the Newman Industries with Locke.
Moreover, Adam had been planning something of his with Sally. We know Newman’s business is everything to them, so Adam and Sally might exploit Victoria’s pain to their advantage. In addition, Adam is the interim CEO, so he wishes to make that position permanent. We know that Victoria is also his father’s daughter, so she would not give up so easily too.
The Young And The Restless: Things Are Changing; Victor Makes A Decision
Victoria is not a damsel in distress. Even after being hurt emotionally by Ashland so much, she only has one thing on her mind. Victoria wants to save Newman-Locke from Lockeness monster, and she will do everything to do so. Moreover, Victor trusts his daughter and wants her to make her own moves to bring Ashland down. If she is able to do so, she might gain Victor’s trust and become the CEO again. Furthermore, she wants Adam to be the fall guy, but Adam will want something in return.
On the other hand, Adam feels that all of this is happening because Victoria allowed a fraud into their house. So, he might feel that Victoria might not be capable of running a business if she gets into her emotions too much. Adam might do some planning, plotting along with Sally to have the CEO position. But the speculation is his plan might not succeed. The spoilers reveal that Adam will also do whatever it takes to win Victor’s trust and become the CEO.
