In the episode on January 29, Nikki surprised Audra with a job offer – she wanted Audra to move to London and be in charge of the new Newman Media offices there.
Even though Nikki tried to make it sound like a good thing, Audra wasn’t excited about the offer. Despite Nikki’s efforts to convince her, Audra firmly said no to moving. This decision forced Nikki to fire Audra from her job. With no job on her plate now, Audra has the freedom to pursue what she openly expressed a desire for: Glissade.
She wants to let Tucker believe she’s changed her mind about working with him. Once she’s hired, her goal is to position herself cleverly to do better than him and take over the beauty business. Having initiated the first step of her plan in the episode on January 30, Audra met Tucker for drinks at the Genoa City Athletic Club.
She tried to tell him she had left Newman Media and was willing to take his job offer. But The Young And The Restless Spoilers suggest Tucker didn’t believe her. Even though Audra wasn’t mad anymore about his interest in Ashley, Tucker still doubted what she said. He eventually figured out that Audra was lying and had some hidden reason. Even though Sharon isn’t Audra’s biggest supporter because of what happened with Noah, Sharon believes in giving second chances. She might see that Audra could be a valuable asset to a tech company, especially since she just left Newman Media. We can’t also overlook the idea of Audra going back to Newman Media.
