The Young and The Restless recap reveals that Tuesday’s episode of the CBS soap was full of family drama and excitement. This episode was about doubts about their loved ones. First, Newmans doubt Ashland because of his actions. Next, viewers saw Chance confessing something to Abby about his continuous struggle to settle in. Phyllis was all over Genoa city in search of chaos.
Viewers also saw Tessa getting all excited about something and Sharon’s concerns for Noah. The January 18, 2022 episode also witnessed Mariah and Devon meeting and discussing the custody battle. Why are they meeting? Keep reading to find out.
The Young And The Restless: Newmans Doubt Ashland
Starting off Tuesday’s episode were Nikki Newman and Ashland. Nikki Newman was shocked to see Ashland working on Victoria’s desk. He said that he needed access to Dubai Project information and that he is meeting a new potential senior employee for the company. He suggested to Nikki that this person would be the perfect fit for the Vice President of strategy. Nikki called him out and argued that Regina is already doing a great job.
Ashland disagreed with this and revealed that he hasn’t told Victoria about it. He insists that Victoria doesn’t have to be bothered with small details. This leaves Nikki concerned about Ashland bringing his people into the firm. Victoria then walks into the office and is curious to know what is happening. She tells Ashland that a simple discussion wouldn’t hurt if he’s employing new people.
After Ashland leaves, Victoria assures Nikki about how she’s still the CEO. Victoria thinks that she and Ashland agree on everything. However, she starts doubtful once she’s alone. Later that evening, Ashland fixes up a small meeting with Victoria. Ashland brings to Vic’s attention that the person he wishes to hire is willing to relocate if his salary and position are exceptional.
Victoria tells Ashland that she’s not prepared to make any long-term commitments. Although, she might consider a short-term consulting offer that could work for him. Ashland thinks he’s in complete sync with Victoria, and he has nothing to worry about.
Chance Confesses To Abby
Next, Abby leaves a message for Christine Williams and remains upset with Devon over the shared custody battle. After a while, Chance decides to take a look at all the perspectives and concludes that there isn’t any simple solution to this situation. After he speaks to Abby, she declares, “There is only one answer to this – and the answer is no!” Abby’s feeling troubled. She feels that Devon bringing up Chance’s psychological state is wrong. Abby feels that Chance just needs more time to settle after going through so much.
Until then, Chance tries to get updates on what Devon said and worries that what Devon said about Dominic needing a more present dad is actually right. Chance also confesses to Abby that he lied about feeling connected and settled. He worries about Dominic missing out on real fatherly emotions. He then highlights that Devon has a direct link to Dominic’s heart and reminded Abby that they are connected through blood. After all this, Abby starts crying, and Chance wonders if it is right of them to come in the way of Devon and Dominic.
The Young And The Restless: Phyllis All Over Genoa City
More spoilers suggest that Phyllis was all over Genoa City on Tuesday. First, she calls Summer and digs more information on Jack Abbott’s collaboration with Kyle Abbott. Summer won’t talk much, so that leaves Phyllis upset. Next, Phyllis was having dinner at Society, and she spots Nick picking up his food. She asks Nick to join her, but things get awkward between them.
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis also shares a drink with Amanda and expresses her concerns about all the free time that she has. She tells Amanda that some things need to be changed. She will worry that all her free time will lead to her creating chaos around Genoa City. More Phyllis-related spoilers suggest that she gets her call back from Summer. As these women spoke, Summer tells Phyllis about a job to work at Marchetti. Phyllis seems glad and intrigued about the offer. So, she asks for more details.
Tessa’s Excited, Sharon Is Concerned
Furthermore, Tuesday’s episode of The Young And The Restless saw Noah Newman as he accepted Nick Newman’s job offer of working at New Hope. So naturally, this news made Sharon happy. At the Coffeehouse, Tessa Porter comes looking for Noah to show him something. She shows Noah the finished album, which included his artwork. Tessa mentions that the album is ready for everyone to hear it. She also adds that Noah should come to the launch party. While looking at this, Sharon is concerned about her son as he still has feelings for Tessa. She interrupts them at one point and asks if they need anything.
However, Noah insists they’re good, and Sharon goes away. Noah smiles at Tessa and asks her about the adoption process. He also wonders if Tessa and Mariah were getting married, so Tessa tells him that she is ready for a forever now. Suddenly, Mariah comes to the coffeehouse and pulls Tessa away to discuss something. Sharon approaches Noah once again and asks if he’s all right. Noah told her that he was okay and that Sharon was thinking too much.
The Young And The Restless: Mariah And Devon Meet
Rounding off the spoilers were Mariah and Devon. When Phyllis called Amanda to have a drink with her, Devon requested her to go. Soon after, Mariah Copeland arrives as Amanda’s heading out. Mariah finds the custody battle crazy and warns Devon not to take Chance and Abby to court. She also highlights that Dominic is Chance and Abby’s son and not his. Devon thinks that Mariah might understand his perspective more than anyone else. Regardless of what Mariah thinks, Devon feels he’s doing what’s best for Dominic.
Amanda returns after a while at Penthouse, and Devon fills her in on Mariah’s concerns about taking Abby and Chance to court. He talks about the lives getting affected by this move. Amanda asks him to follow his heart and focus on Dominic. Amanda also points out that Abby feels betrayed and needs time. Devon feels frustrated over the thought of losing his best friend so that he can be a Dad to Dominic. He again refers to him as “my son!”.
