The latest The Young And The Restless spoilers confirm that our prayers have finally been answered. It’s official. Michael Mealor, who played the character of Kyle Abbott on the soap opera, is coming back. Mealor left the soap last year because of contract issues. But, it looks like all of them have been solved because he is returning. In fact, Soap Opera Digest reveals that he has signed a lengthy contract this time around.
While we dance to this happy news, there are some more details on what would happen when Kyle returns. Y&R viewers keeping up know that Kyle is living in Milan with his wife Summer Newman and son Harrison Locke right now. But, he will soon find a reason to return. Kyle’s mother- Diane Jenkins, who was assumed to be dead for so long, just rose from her grave. If that isn’t a big enough reason for her son to return, we don’t know what is.
While we are sure that Kyle is returning, we do not have much information on his better half, Summer Newman. TV Season & Spoilers had previously reported that a casting call for the role of Summer Newman had been made. But, since Mealor is back on contract, it is possible that The Young And The Restless might try to work something out with Hunter King, who earlier played the character.
Hunter King and Michael Mealor are a much more famous couple among The Young and the Restless fans. We know all the fans would be overjoyed if both of them came back. But if King isn’t available, it is likely that the soap will recast the character.
Coming to the storyline, The Young And The Restless spoilers suggest that Summer and Kyle will soon come to know about Kyle’s mother is alive, and they will fly back to Genoa City. Kyle will be really mad at his mother for deceiving them all. On the other hand, Summer might land in a tight spot because her mother- Phyllis Summers, and Kyle’s mother-Diane have been enemies for ages. So, Summer might have to deal with the heat that Diane sends towards her.
Whatever happens, it is just a matter of time before Kyle pops back on the canvas. Summer might accompany him soon too. So, this is a good enough reason for all the “Skyle” fans to celebrate.
