Sean Carrigan, who plays Ben “Stitch” Rayburn, is leaving the soap opera. Recently, Carrigan’s character Stitch kidnapped Mariah and kept her captive. While Y&R viewers had been speculating that Stitch is the culprit for a long time now, this story ended with Abby realizing that and going after him to find him.
Stitch’s character first debuted in 2013, and he was on the soap for a few years then. After that, he left the show in 2017. While he was on the show, Stitch dated Abby and her mom Ashley Abbott. Back in the time Abby had become pregnant, Stitch’s young son became really jealous and caused Abby to fall and lose the baby. That is when Stitch’s marriage with Abby fell apart.
After that, Sean’s character was scheduled to come in and out, but then, on June 25, 2021, the actor came back to reprise the role. However, in the August 27, 2021 episode of the Young and the Restless, Stitch disappeared, and it looks like that is the exit of the character.
Ever since Stich came to Genoa City, he had pretty muddy intentions. He lied, deceived everyone, and even kidnapped Mariah. While he might be on the run now, is there a chance that he might come back sooner or later? It is possible. Mariah is dealing with the trauma of being kidnapped. So, right now, the story has shifted to the poor woman, Mariah, Abby, and Devon.
But, as suggested by Soap Opera Spy, it is possible that later down the line, someone might go looking for Stitch and find him. For now, it is a goodbye. But, we sure can hope that he comes back soon. Sean Carrigan had brought in a lot of action to the screen indeed. So, it is sure that everyone will miss him.
