Adam has been roaming the streets of Genoa City with a broken heart on The Young and The Restless for quite some time now. But that’s what Adam has been doing for the most part of his time on the CBS soap. He is either sulking, fuming in anger, or is in a battle with someone. He barely ever steps up to take responsibility or make some actual long-lasting changes in his life. But we feel like it’s about time Adam made that much-needed change in his way of life. Especially if he wants a fighting chance with Sally and the baby. But can Adam do it?
Sally Chose Nick Over Adam For Safety
Sally Spectra was madly in love with Adam Newman on The Young and The Restless. Their chemistry together was breathtaking and it felt like they were going to be the end game couple. However, Adam went ahead and imploded their relationship over his own twisted way of thinking things through. Or, let’s say NOT thinking them through enough. He broke Sally’s heart and she felt like in a matter of days her whole world came crumbling down. Especially after Victoria fired her from Newman Media.
At that point, her professional calamity was not in her hands on The Young and The Restless. Hence, she decided to regain some control by taking the reins of her personal life into her hands. When Adam tried to rekindle their relationship, she turned him down and chose to pursue one with Nick Newman instead. She reasoned that Adam was unpredictable and has proven to be unreliable. Whereas, Nick was safe, mature, sincere, and dependable. And that’s exactly what Sally needed in her life. But this makes us wonder, what if Adam stepped up his game? If he proved himself to be just as dependable as his brother, would Sally reconsider him?
Adam Steps Up For Sally And Their Baby, Starts A New Company On The Young And The Restless
There is a famous saying that states, “You can’t keep doing the same things and expect a different result.” So if Adam wants Sally to see him in a different light, then he will have to make some major changes in his life on The Young and The Restless. First of he needs to shed off that angsty teenage vibe that he has and stop sulking. Secondly, he needs to act responsible and own up to the mistakes that he made without exploding in a fit of rage. Furthermore, he needs to get this professional life straight. He is forever butting his head with his father and siblings over business.
Even when he left the Newman Fold and joined Jabot on The Young and The Restless, he didn’t exactly shoot for the stars. In fact, as Kyle put it, he was just drawing a paycheque and doing nothing. Later on, Adam admitted he wasn’t happy at Jabot and resigned. But he also doesn’t want to go back to the Newman fold to work under his father’s thumb. Perhaps it’s time Adam broke free from Victor, if he hates his over-controlling demeanor so much. Adam must find his own footing in Genoa City and start a firm of his own. Do something that he actually enjoys, without the interference of the Newmans.
Perhaps then Sally might see him as a man who can take responsibility of her child on The Young and The Restless. Until then, it’s unlikely that Adam can outdo Nick Dependable Newman.
