The world of The Bold and The Beautiful often becomes a war zone for its citizens. The beautiful Hope and the ever-so-bold Thomas are embroiled in one such battle. In the ongoing storyline of B&B, Hope and Thomas are pitted against each other, fighting to win custody of their son, Douglas.
Ardent viewers of the show would know that Thomas (actor Matthew Atkinson) has not been an upstanding father to Douglas so far. But, off-late, he has had a realization of sorts and has been trying to be an actively involved father in his son’s life. Thus, entering into a custody battle with his former lover, Hope. She has been parenting Douglas as a single mother so far and is unwilling to give up her son so easily.
The Bold and The Beautiful viewers would remember that Thomas and Hope have a rather scandalous past. Owing to the unhealthy obsession he had with her. Recently, on a chat show, a fan questioned Matthew about the status of Thomas’s relationship with Hope in the future.
“Will he move on from her or will he stay fixated? What will happen?” the fan wanted to know. Matthew told the fan that he does not know what the future holds for Hope and Thomas on The Bold and The Beautiful. He clarified that the matters of the storyline are totally up to the show’s makers, and he does not have any say in it. However, he did have something to add to this.
Matthew’s Bold Opinion!
Matthew added that he has a personal opinion on what Thomas should now do on The Bold and The Beautiful. “I would have the obsession to Hope be done with. “If I had my way”, he asserted. He added that when he joined the show, Thomas had other significant relationships to focus on. Matthew feels, “Thomas should have a love interest.”
Most viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful soap would agree with Matthew’s sentiment over this situation. Although, it can’t be denied that if Hope and Thomas reunite, the entire custody battle can be thrown out of the window. Douglas would get a complete family with mommy and daddy. But, Alas! We don’t really see it happening, given the couple’s dark past, and nobody wants to see Thomas almost losing his mind over Hope all over again.
When a social media fan page of The Bold and The Beautiful asked the fans their opinion on who Thomas should be with, “NOT HOPE!” was the most common response. On the other hand, some fans suggested Paris or her sister Zoe. Others mused that Thomas should now be paired with a fresh character.
Thomas’s OTHER Hopes!
Paris Buckingham: In the recent past, the viewers watched Carter break Paris’ heart when he left her at the alter for Quinn. Thus, shattering her dreams of having a happily ever after with him. We felt for you, Paris. Lonely and broken as she is currently, she could use another chance at love! Although last time Paris had rejected Thomas’ advances, maybe this time she will reconsider.
Zoe Buckingham: Although she has been missing from The Bold and The Beautiful for a while, she does have a history with Thomas. And however complicated their love life was, they both surely looked good together on screen! Maybe a renewed love story between them could pave the way for Zoe’s return to the show.
If the Buckingham sisters don’t fit the bill for a new romance with Thomas, maybe the makers could bring an entirely new character to the world of The Bold and the Beautiful!
