Teen Mom: Amanda’s Negligence Cost The Star Her Son’s Custody
Fans know Amanda as Ryan’s girlfriend. She and Ryan met in rehab in 2023. They were also a part of the bar brawl, which led to Ryan going to prison. But Teen Mom viewers did not know much about Amanda. All they knew was that she and Ryan were dating and met in rehab. However, there is much more to Amanda than that.
Teen Mom fans might not know, but Amanda is a mom as well. The star had a son in her second marriage with Brandon Hancock. The pair married and had a son, Brandon Scott Hancock II, in 2013. Unfortunately, the marriage did not work out, and Amanda filed for a divorce in November 2019. However, none of them had the custody of their son.
Amanda and Brandon’s divorce case papers also had documents from their son’s custody case. The former’s father had custody of her son per the “Juvenile Court Orders” from May 2014. According to the papers, Amanda and Brandon were both in prison at the time. Brandon was in Hamilton County for a “probation violation.” Meanwhile, Amanda was serving her time in Nashville, Tenessee prison, just like her current boyfriend, Ryan. It was quite shocking for Teen Mom fans.
The court had pronounced both parents negligent in their child’s “development” as both were in prison. So they put Amanda’s son in the custody of his maternal grandfather, Jesse. Jesse’s wife was also a co-petitioner. Teen Mom star Ryan’s girlfriend Amanda had also filed for a temporary parenting plan for her son. But the court couldn’t give her custody due to the “Juvenile Court Orders.”

While Amanda’s Instagram has too little on her son, her new boyfriend Ryan often appears there. Amanda has been uploading various stories of the Teen Mom star since he went to prison. But now that he is out, Amanda has uploaded yet another new story. And Ryan appeared shirtless in it.
Conner celebrated Ryan’s early prison release with a video on her Instagram story. She posted a black-and-white video of a shirtless Ryan on Tuesday. Fans could see the MTV star’s tattoos as he rolled around and smiled at the camera. Ryan then walked away in the clip.
