Domestic violence perpetrators from Teen Mom casts are showing up one by one. Not long ago, Maci Bookout’s former partner, Ryan Edwards, was arrested for the same (against his new wife, Mackenzie Edwards) as well as drug abuse. Now, it is Jenelle Evans’ former partner, Nathan Griffith. He used to work as a model when he met Jenelle Evans after her breakup with Courtland Rogers. The couple met on Tinder and connected well together.
While Evans gave birth to their son in June 2014, they called it off a year later. Jenelle and Nathan were engaged but couldn’t continue well together. They also did not share a common place over their son and fought a custody battle for a long time. It wasn’t until 2020 that the two agreed on co-parenting the child. However, Griffith re-married later, but things did not go well there too. Keep reading to know more details about the incident.
Teen Mom: Nathan Griffith Choked His Girlfriend And Dragged; Police Give More Details About The Encounter!
Nathan Griffith holds a record with the police. He has committed several offenses, but it was the most severe this time. The Florida police arrested the Teen Mom alum on the grounds of domestic battery by strangulation on February 24. As per TMZ, the incident occurred on Delray Beach, wherein the police responded to an emergency call from 911. Nathan’s brother-in-law, William, informed the police about the incident. Additionally, he alleged that the reality star choked his wife and dragged her up the stairs. The brother even called Nathan, but he hung up at him.
Later, Nathan texted his wife to ensure she was ok, but she responded with a ‘No’. The police have held him at the Palm Beach County jail without a bond. Further, when the police officials reached the resident as a response to the emergency call, the couple was uncooperative. The Teen Mom alum accused William of being on drugs and alleged that he was lying. Although, the officials also took notice of some scratches on Nathan’s neck and back, which he claimed to be an outcome of sex. Moreover, the wife was emotionally down and sobbing; she did not open up initially. However, she did tell the police that Nathan assaulted her after a few tries.
The survivor of the alleged violence shouted as a response and stated that he was 250 pounds and she was merely 100 pounds. There is no way she could have gotten Nathan off her. Further, she also had several bruises on her neck, although she could not detail the specifics as she had ‘blacked out’. The police understood the severity of the situation and took immediate action by putting Nathan behind bars. The Florida statute mentions domestic strangulation as an attempt to impede the regular breathing of someone from the family.
Teen Mom: Nathan Has Issues With His Wife Whom He Tried To Choke?
Nathan will be convicted if the domestic violence offense is proven correct. Moreover, if the conviction is of a third-degree felony, he will be liable to face five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The Teen Mom alum surprised fans after marrying his short-time girlfriend. The couple filed for a marriage license on April 15 and officially married on April 30. However, this relationship also did not fall short of issues.
In August 2022, he took to Instagram and requested his fans for a place to stay. Although, no one took the offer and offered him any aid. Further, Nathan expressed disappointment and accused his wife of being a complete psycho. Later, the couple was back together, promoting their OnlyFans account. What are your thoughts on this?
