However, now Ryan is trying to bring his life back on track. The star is trying to get better in his relationships. He has recently been getting in contact with his son Bentley and also celebrated Easter with him. And now, Maci is praising her ex’s efforts and his progress.
Teen Mom: Maci Discusses Ryan’s Progress — He’s Doing Well
Fans recently saw a family reunion for two Teen Mom stars (pun intended). They saw Ryan celebrate Easter with his and Maci’s son Bentley and their better halves. Fans were shocked at the reunion as they never saw it coming before. Though Ryan and Bentley have slowly been bonding over the past year, this was still big news.
Soon after the Easter ‘family’ dinner, Maci Bookout talked with UsWeekly. The star discussed her current relationship with her ex Ryan. She also spoke about his and Bentley’s newly developing relationship. According to Maci, “Ryan is doing really well.” She also revealed a shocking detail. Apparently, Ryan “will be a year sober” in a week. This is a big achievement.
Maci talked about Ryan’s significant achievement. She said this would be his first sober year “since his act of addiction really began.” He is “doing really well” and is making great efforts. Over the past year, the Teen Mom star’s efforts have changed Maci’s “expectations.” He is also becoming more active and involved in Bentley’s life.
Though the father and son didn’t have much contact in 2021, that is slowly changing. Maci revealed the Teen Mom star “calls (Bentley) pretty regularly.” Regarding her and Ryan’s relationship, Maci says they are “better” than they were in the past. She also credits therapy sessions for helping her and Ryan have a better relationship. They even celebrated Easter together as a sort of blended family.
Teen Mom: Ryan & Bentley’s Slowly Renewing Relationship
Ryan and Bentley didn’t have much of a relationship before 2021. In fact, their relationship deteriorated after Ryan and Maci separated. But the Teen Mom star is trying to make amends now, starting with his son. He is really trying to be there for Bentley, and even Maci is happy about it.
Maci revealed that Ryan is making efforts to be in Bentley’s life. He also “calls (Bentley) pretty regularly.” So it might be safe to say that the two are slowly becoming better father-son. Ryan also celebrated Easter with Bentley, and Maci shared photos of the celebration.
Ryan, Amanda, Bentley, Maci’s husband Taylor, and Maci were all in the photo. They looked delighted. Fans were surprised to see the blended family, but they praised Ryan for being with Bentley.
